Discovery Concert
CONNECTING IN ACTION WEEK
The ideal preparation course for a successful career as a professional orchestral musician.
Gain vital practical experience playing as a member of the APO over several months. You will be linked with an APO musician mentor who will guide you through the demands of a professional orchestral schedule and repertoire. Fellows are paid for their concert work, which enables them to focus on practising.
The APO is pleased to announce that the 2013 orchestral fellowships have been awarded to Emma Fetherston (Viola) Suying Aw (Viola) and Alanna Jones (Bass). You can read their profiles here.
For further information about the fellowship programme or to register your interest for the 2014 auditions, please contact our Assistant Orchestra Manager at amber@apo.co.nz
“The APO’s Orchestral Fellowship programme has given me the perfect opportunity to develop myself as a professional orchestral player. Being an active member of the orchestra, I was able to perform a range of repertoire: classic symphonies, modern new works, opera, ballet and many more. I also had the opportunity to meet and work with leading artists/conductors and participate in educational work. This has truly been a wonderful experience!” – Diana Wuli, 2012 Fellow
