Lend a helping hand to the APO – join the APO Friends

Founded in 1982 as a volunteer group, the APO Friends provide support for the orchestra – whether by selling programmes at concerts, organising raffles, encouraging support for fundraising events, or providing supper for guest artists and the orchestra players.  Funds from APO Friends’ events and activities are donated to the APO Education programme and Chair Donor programme.

The APO Friends also operate buses right across Auckland to the majority of the orchestra’s concerts. This is dependent on demand and costs just $10 per roundtrip. For bus information please call the APO Ticketing Office on (09) 623 1052

By joining the APO Friends you also receive a range of benefits including invitations to events that give you the opportunity to meet members of the orchestra, visiting artists and conductors.  You also gain the satisfaction of knowing your contribution helps an essential element of Auckland’s cultural life.
