Secondary School Scholarships

Your chance to perform on stage with the APO.

Secondary school students audition to receive mentoring from APO musicians in preparation for performing in concert with the orchestra. Seven successful students experience all aspects of the professional orchestral environment. Find out if this is the career for you.

“The lessons with Huw gave me plenty of opportunity to work on repertoire and stylistic interpretation of music. In addition to preparing the music for the Kiwi Kapers concerts, I also received a lot of advice and mentoring from someone who is working in the industry, which was of great value to me in preparing for my audition for University.
